The subjects of Sonabend's fiction range from the outer reaches of Northern Colombia to daily goings on in London. Her writing is textural and probing, excavating for the forgotten and the overlooked. Her work has been published by Young Vic Theatre in London where she created her first immersive theatre installation 'Safe House', Nomadic Press (Oakland) and in UK publications. She prefers to present her stories as audio recordings and has collaborated with Mark Strong, Nicola Walker, David Lan and Tomos Eames who have all narrated her work.
